Anthony (A.J.) Johnson took his first steps in show business while working as an extra stunt man with his father Eddie Johnson. Being in the background as a stunt man, thrilled A.J. However, there were better things awaiting this quick-witted young man.

One evening during the fall of 1989, A.J. had the good fortune to use his wit on a great comedian he really respected Robin Harris, who told him he should get on the stage and try out comedy. Once A.J. got his nerves up to perform, he has kept his audiences laughing ever since.

This young talented kid out of Compton has caught the eye of the industry people. Dr. Dre immediately utilized A.J. in his smash hit video “Dre Day” as Sleazy E.  A.J. started his road to fame by appearing on “Showtime at the Apollo,” BET’s Comic View,” and “HBO’s Def Jam”. He has been featured in box office hits “I Got The Hookup,” “Player’s Club,” “How To Be A Player,” “BAPS,” “Friday,” “House Party 1 & 2,” “Menace To Society,” “O,” “Lethal Weapon,” and “Panthers”. His television credits include, “The Jamie Foxx Show,” “Martin,” “South Central” and numerous national running commercials.
